Unlike long-term improvement programmes, a Kaizen Blitz emphasises speed, action, and immediate results.

The term “blitz” reflects intensity and urgency. While Kaizen promotes small, continuous improvements, a Kaizen Blitz zeroes in on urgent issues that require quick fixes. Popularised within Lean and Six Sigma programmes, it is often used to demonstrate the power of Lean tools, energise teams, and solve pressing problems in record time.
