First Time Yield (FTY) is a core metric in quality management and process control. It measures the percentage of units that pass through an entire process correctly on the first attempt, without requiring rework, repair, or corrections. FTY is closely related to First Pass Yield (FPY), but while FPY measures performance at each process step, FTY reflects the success rate of the complete process from start to finish. This makes it particularly valuable for assessing overall process health and efficiency.
