What will you learn during the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training?
During the classroom sessions, we will focus on practical situations and the mindset and behaviour within organisations – essential components of the Lean philosophy. In addition to learning useful tools and techniques, we emphasise aspects such as leadership, team dynamics, and communication which are equally important for the success of your improvement projects. You will learn how to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, overcome resistance to change, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within your organisation.
In the e-learning modules, you will go through the phases of DMAIC. You will learn how to analyse problems and find sustainable solutions, facilitate workshops, and lead Brown Paper exercises. You will go through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and the five phases of Lean: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control (DMAIC).
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is a comprehensive course that enables you to effectively apply Lean principles in your daily work. Here’s a more detailed breakdown of what you will learn during the training, divided into the five phases of the DMAIC process:
1 – Define: In this phase, you will learn how to clearly define a problem, establish objectives, and engage stakeholders. You will learn techniques and tools to scope the project, such as identifying the voice of the customer, leading brown paper sessions, creating project charters, and facilitating team-building.
2 – Measure: In the measurement phase, you will learn how to map processes, create measurement plans, and identify waste. You will use tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Swimlane diagrams, MIFA (Material and Information Flow Analysis), and identify the eight types of waste in Lean. These tools will help you understand the current state of processes and collect measurable data.
3 – Analyse: In this phase, you will learn how to analyse processes, identify root causes of problems, and effectively use data. You will use Lean measurements, analysis techniques such as Run Chart, Histogram, and Control Chart, and tools such as brainstorming and Ishikawa diagrams (fishbone diagrams) to identify the root causes of problems.
4 – Improve: You will learn how to implement improvements, engage team members, and apply Lean tools. In this phase, you will apply techniques such as Kaizen (continuous improvement), Kaikaku (radical change), Training Within Industry (TWI), Flow, Pull, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), Kanban, Just in Time (JIT) production, and identify TIMWOODS (the eight wastes). You will also learn how to effectively motivate team members to generate ideas and select the best solutions.
5 – Control: In this phase, you will learn how to sustain results, implement procedures, and ensure continuous improvement. You will apply techniques such as developing procedures, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), defining roles and responsibilities using a RACI diagram (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed), using the 8D problem-solving method, conducting audits, and implementing visual management. These techniques and tools will help you sustain improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Throughout the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, you will gain specific knowledge and skills in each phase of the DMAIC process, enabling you to effectively apply Lean principles in your daily work.

The merits of online learning:
Online learning is becoming increasingly popular due to the many benefits it offers. The flexibility it provides is unparalleled: you can study at a time to suit you, without having to commit to a fixed schedule. This is especially convenient for those people who have work, family or other
Online learning also allows you to learn at your own pace. You can process and understand the information in a way that matches your learning speed. If you are a fast learner, you don’t have to wait for others, and if you need extra time, you can take it.
Another significant advantage of online learning is the cost and time savings. Without travel expenses and with lower tuition fees compared to classroom courses, online learning is often more cost effective. Additionally, you save time that would otherwise be spent on travel or commuting. Additionally, we also offer classroom sessions where personal contact and interaction are possible.
This wouldn’t be balanced if we didn’t also address some of the challenges associated with online learning. While technological advancements have made timely communication much easier, the lack of direct interaction with trainers could be perceived as an obstacle. Fortunately, we provide support via phone, app, or email to compensate for this.
Online learning also requires a certain level of self-discipline. Without the structure of a fixed schedule, it can be tempting to procrastinate. Technical issues can also prove challenging and frustrating for delegates if they are unable to rely on functioning technology and internet access.
Despite these challenges, online learning does offer numerous benefits and opens the doors to flexible and accessible education for everyone, everywhere.
